Wood Phase

Wood opens the cycle of the Five Phases: spring, the rising sap, the surge and the suppleness. The 24 Breaths inaugurate it at Lichun (立春), the establishment of spring. The tradition attaches to it green and sourness: aromatic and ascending matter.
